I don’t know the specific circumstances that brought you to this site. If you have recently lost a cat, you have my condolences. If you are the caring friend or relative of someone who has had a loss, I admire your thoughtfulness. In either case, I hope that you will feel welcome and find support here.
My name is Grace Jaeger. I have been a professional cat sitter since 1997 in the Minneapolis Minnesota area. (See www.catwatchers.com.) My staff and I have provided specialized care to several thousand cats over the years. Of course, some of those cats have passed on, often leaving us nearly as grief-stricken as their families. Many of the humans involved have expressed frustration and sadness because others don’t always understand the depth of their grief. These sentiments were the inspiration for this store.
While it is my experience as a cat sitter that inspired the idea, my personal beliefs about my life after this one inspired the theme. I have high hopes that when it comes my time to pass, I will be met by each and every cat I have ever cared for – a glorious reunion indeed! They will be purring in greeting and as I greet each cat in return, I will truly be in paradise.
Some of my “paradise cats” adorn the pages of this site. Wherever you find a sketch of a cat, pass your mouse across it and you will see a picture of the cat that it represents. It has been a privilege to have personally known and cared for each of these cats.
Just as I have been, and continue to be, honored whenever my cat sitting clients entrust their cats into my care, I am honored to have you share this site.
